25. Give up something for a month, or plan to do something for a month and blog about your progress/struggles/triumphs. Source: From: http://www.molly-greene.com/101-blog-topic-ideas
I’m already regretting this idea but since I have only one other idea, I think this may be it.
So, yesterday, I was talking about how I find religions interesting from an academic perspective. I think, for the next month (or maybe longer because that’s quite a bit of information to cover in a month), I’m going to research the basic premises behind the four major religions in America as determined by http://religions.pewforum.org/ and pictured below.
Basically, each week, I’m going to research Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Muslim practices, one per week. If I had more time, I’d research even more in-depth (like the different branches and everything) but a month isn’t a long time. Like, ideally, I’d like to read the religious texts for all of these religions and then just assess them from an academic perspective. Oh my god, I’m such a nerd. But yeah, so that’s the plan.
Or maybe I’ll just read this huge, 700+ page book my stepdad just gave me that he says I absolutely HAVE TO READ.
Yeah, one of those. I’ll figure it out.
